Roy and Lois Chope Chaired ECE Professor Aylin Yener was named Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking starting Aug 1, 2022.

The scope of the journal includes energy efficient and energy sustainable communications, computing, learning and sensing for next generation networked systems. Jointly sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Signal Processing Society and IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, though relatively young, the journal is recently experiencing significant growth and has just received its impact factor.

“As we are getting used to calling 6G as “GG” (Green G), I am excited to lead the only IEEE journal dedicated to green information and communication technologies (ICT) and move forward our mission of shaping the next generation of connectivity further," Yener said.
